This Canadian immigration program allows temporary immigrant workers and foreign students with work experience of more than 12 months or part-time work experience of a minimum of 24 months to apply for Canada permanent residency.
Since January 2015, Canada Express Entry has administered this Program. The Federal Skilled Worker program helps experienced people to become Canadian permanent residents. Eligible applicants should create an online Express Entry profile to submit expression of interest for Canadian immigration.
Eligibility Criteria for Federal Skilled Worker Program:
- You require to have work experience of 12 months (30 hours a week for one year or 1,560 hours), full-time/part-time (15 hours weekly for 24 months equal to a one-year full time 1,560 hours)
- Work experience must be a paid work that doesn’t include volunteer work or unpaid internship programs
- Work experience must be in the most current ten years period
- Work experience should pertain to the same field of employment
- It needs to be at skill levels of NOC A or B or skill level O.

Also, you have to meet the following requirements:
- Provide a language test results approved by the Canadian immigration office and meeting the required levels for speaking, listening, reading and writing.
- You need to attain the minimum points equivalent of Canada Language Benchmark 7
This process will need your language test results which are not more than 2 years old at the time of receiving an application for Canada permanent residency.
